Born Toxic

Monday, 15 April 2013 06:26

For many the joy of becoming a parent is one of the greatest of their life, and understandably so. We all are drawn to the complete innocence of a child and their natural wonder of the world. But what if all is not well in paradise? What if, right under our noses, we have been bringing toxic children into the world and putting them at a distinct disadvantage with respect to our health? Unfortunately this is the truth all too often.

To understand how this is happening we need to understand a bit of biology 101. In the United States there was a successful class action law suit of cadmium poisoning (toxic metal) from eating chocolate. The NPK fertilizer we use on the farmers fields (here in Australia as well) all has some naturally occurring cadmium in it. The important thing to understand is that cadmium and zinc structurally look alike. What this means is that when the soil is zinc deficient the cadmium will get into the plants! The cadmium will then go from the plants to the cow, the milk, the chocolate and into us.

Toxic_BabyThe story doesn't end there. Our bodies will store these toxic metals and chemicals in many layers of adaptation. These chemicals and metals will very often remain with us our entire lives if we are not healthy enough to eliminate them. These metals cause many problems and one that most people don't really think about is that these metals and chemicals can pass across the placenta and into our kids. We know this is the case based on physiology and there is just no other explanation as to how you can see such a high toxic load in a new born.

I have cases of cadmium poisoning from a mother to her two children because she worked in a plastics factory that had cadmium tainted ink. I have had hundreds of cases of copper overload where the mother has passed it on. In fact we are now seeing three or four GENERATIONS of copper overload with each generation having more health problems. Mercury toxicity is another very common toxin to pass across. All these toxic metals are a major, and generally ignored cause of autism, ADD, birth defects and many cases of developmental delays.

I think the point of bringing this to your attention today is for a couple of things. The first is that if you are a female thinking of having children it would be highly suggested that you undergo a good six months or more of a nutritional balancing program before you become pregnant. The second is that our kids need to be considered for nutritional balancing programs just as much as us adults. The third is to perhaps motivate you to continue your nutritional balancing program.
